Terms of Service
Last updated: July 16, 2026
1. Agreement
These Terms govern your use of the IslamTools mobile application and the public tools and content on islamtools.com (together, the “Services”). By using the Services, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
2. What IslamTools provides
IslamTools provides prayer-time calculations, Qibla direction, Quran reading and audio features, duas, reminders, tracking tools, calculators, guides and related Islamic utilities. Features can differ by platform, device capability, operating-system version and region.
The current app is offered without ads, subscriptions or in-app purchases. We may change, improve, discontinue or add features. If paid features are introduced in the future, they will be clearly disclosed before purchase and these Terms will be updated where needed.
3. Prayer times, Qibla and calendar disclaimer
Prayer times are calculated estimates based on coordinates, date, timezone, selected calculation method and device settings. Different mosques and authorities can use different angles, adjustments or local observations.
- Confirm your location, timezone and calculation method.
- Use your trusted local mosque or religious authority when its timetable differs.
- Compass readings can be affected by magnetic cases, vehicles, electronics, buildings and sensor calibration.
- Hijri dates may vary by local moon sighting and official announcement.
You are responsible for deciding which local timetable, Qibla verification method and religious authority to follow.
4. Religious and educational content
IslamTools is a utility and reference product. It is not a substitute for a qualified scholar, local imam, medical professional, lawyer or financial adviser. Do not rely on the Services for a personal fatwa or professional advice.
Quran text, translations, tafseer, recitations and other reference material may be supplied by third-party content providers. Translations are interpretations of meaning and can differ. If you notice a content or attribution problem, contact support so it can be investigated.
5. Optional connected features
Some features require internet access or third-party services. This includes Quran content and audio, map tiles, geocoding, weather, website prayer-time lookup and the optional iPhone Live Activity service.
If you enable Live Activities, you authorize the app to send the limited installation credentials, Apple delivery tokens, location label, locale and locally calculated prayer schedule described in the Privacy Policy. Disabling Live Activities marks the installation inactive for future scheduled pushes; it does not currently guarantee immediate deletion of backend records.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Services for unlawful, abusive or fraudulent activity
- Interfere with security, rate limits, servers, APIs or other users
- Use automated requests in a way that disrupts the Services or third-party providers
- Misrepresent IslamTools content, branding or affiliation
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to private systems or credentials
Nothing in these Terms restricts rights that cannot legally be restricted, including rights granted by applicable open-source licenses.
7. Intellectual property and third-party material
IslamTools branding, original interface design, original copy and software are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. The Quran itself is not claimed as our property. Third-party translations, recitations, APIs, fonts, maps and other materials remain subject to their respective rights and licenses.
8. Availability and changes
The Services are provided on an “as available” basis. Internet APIs, notification delivery, operating-system background execution, location services and device sensors can be delayed, limited or unavailable. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, perfect accuracy or compatibility with every device.
9. Warranty and liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Services are provided without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. IslamTools is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Services.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you. Your mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.
10. Apple and Google platform terms
If you download IslamTools through Apple or Google, their store and platform terms also apply. Apple and Google are not responsible for providing IslamTools support. For the iOS app, Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms to the extent required by the App Store terms.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms when the Services or legal requirements change. The revision date appears at the top. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms, to the extent permitted by law.
12. Contact
Questions about these Terms can be sent to support@islamtools.com or through IslamTools Support.
