By downloading, installing, or using the IslamTools mobile application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and IslamTools ("we," "us," or "our") governing your use of the App.

IslamTools is a free, privacy-first Islamic companion app that provides:

• Prayer time calculations based on your location
• Qibla direction compass
• Quran reading with translations
• Duas and supplications
• Prayer tracking and reminders
• Tasbih counter
• Islamic calendar and events
• Zakat and inheritance calculators
• Umrah guide

All features are free to use. No account, subscription, or registration is required.

3. Privacy & Data

IslamTools collects zero personal data. All your information (prayer times, reading progress, preferences, and settings) is stored locally on your device and is never transmitted to any server. For full details, please read our Privacy Policy.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree NOT to:

• Use the App for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
• Attempt to interfere with the App's functionality or security
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Use automated systems to access the App without permission
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations

5. Prayer Times Disclaimer

Prayer times are calculated using established astronomical algorithms and your device's location. However:

• Prayer times are estimates and may vary slightly from official local mosque times
• Accuracy depends on your device's location services
• For precise prayer times, we recommend verifying with your local mosque
• We support multiple calculation methods and madhhabs to accommodate different Islamic traditions

6. Intellectual Property

The App and its content, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, icons, images, audio clips, and software, are the property of IslamTools and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

Quranic text and translations are used with respect to their public domain status or appropriate licensing. We do not claim ownership of the Quran or hadith texts.

7. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

• The App is provided "AS IS" without warranties of any kind
• We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service
• We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless IslamTools and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the App or violation of these Terms.

9. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last Updated" date on this page. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

If you are using the App on an Apple device:

• Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims related to the App
• Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms
